  • IRA Funding: $11K Awarded
  • North Bay Forward Speaker Series
  • Second Nature’s Climate Action Pursuit - 10 seats for faculty and staff; 20 seats for students. Second Nature is replacing their annual in-person meeting with four virtual conferences. Two remain: October 7-8, December 9-10.
  • Sustainability Club? - what is the status? Is it happening?
  • Julia Gonzalez revealed working copies of the Sustainable SSU logo. Will send next draft before our next meeting

2:15-2:30 Bike Share Program (Megan Varnadore) 

To promote ridership on SMART train. Will need support from PSAC, Alternate Transportation Group and CPUSAC. Claudia Luke suggested Megan V. reach out to Gracie Alloway

2:30-3:15 Carbon Neutrality Plan (EcoShift, Kristin Cushman)

Working with Megan Varnadore to develop this piece for the Climate Action Plan.

3:15-3:30 Next Steps with Climate Action Plan (EcoShift, Kristin Cushman)  

EcoShift will help integrate the three components required - regional resilience, integrate sustainability across the curriculum and research, Carbon neutrality by 2043. GHG Emissions Forecast $53 million investment required Green Renewable Fund using money saved on by energy improvement invested in additional Impacts - co-benefits - Save money, ensure equity, create jobs, improve public health Presentation by Kristin Cushman from EcoShift.  Link to presentation.
