Gardening Specialist 

With eight years of experience working at Sonoma State University, Gardening Specialist George Atkinson is a leader in campus beautification. George maintains grounds through pest control, herbicide spraying, and other general administrative tasks. His favorite aspect of the job is building and maintaining flower beds because he loves the pop of color they add to the landscape. George is passionate about making a difference for all students, staff, and faculty on campus. His recent endeavor to end the use of chemical herbicides and responsibly dispose of unused chemicals proves his commitment to incorporating sustainable actions into his work.
