Megan Varnadore opened the meeting and welcomed Claudia Muralles, student, who is applying for one of the vacant student positions.

Heather DeOliveira from Recology provided an informative presentation on what Recology does, some of the areas of concern and how to properly dispose of material. 

Mary Gomes, chair of the Academic and Student Life working group:

  • Announced the Seawolves Dig In event on April 19.  A campus email will be shared and how to sign up. 
  • Nature connection sites map is coming along.  A student has been working with Sandy Destiny to create this map.
  • Bringing classrooms to outdoor spaces is getting some movement with chairs and storage being looked into by Mike Dominguez
  • Hope to announce the Sustainability Minor by Earth Week.  Jeff Baldwin said it is looking promising, and still awaiting committee approvals.

Megan Varnadore announced Green Revolving Fund criteria and parameters are being created, and this fund might be able to support projects, utilizing utility savings.
