  1. Working Group Updates
    1. Academic & Student Life - Mary Gomes was absent and no report was made
       
    2. Zero Impact
      • Solar Updates Dana Twedell presented a slideshow on the Solar Array project
      • Receptacle Usage and Housing Move Out Talmadge Savage described the projects his office has been working on
        • 3-Stream containers - will be rolling out more throughout campus
        • E-Waste depositories for students in laundry rooms - joint project with Students for Sustainability Club
        • Preparing for Summer MoveOut
          • Exploring ways to better recycle/repurpose large-ish items including, vacuum cleaners, small refrigerators, microwaves repurposing throughout campus and through Goodwill or similar organizations
          • Toxic waste collections - working with EH&S to dispose of - (Toxic waste includes cleaning products)
          • E waste bins placed at dumpsters
        • Compost pilot/trial program for next year - working with REACH, students in Cabernet will be able to signout a compost collection container and will be able to dump their bins with Environmental Technology Center. Recology is willing to work with us to roll out to all residences, and before we did that want to see what sort of participation and how education efforts go.
           
    3. Strategic Communications - No report/update from Andy Shepherd
       
  2. Sustainability Leadership Updates Tyson Hill advised PSAC that Risk Management and Safety Services is undergoing a reorganization and Megan Varnadore is being moved to the Office of the Vice President for Administration and Finance as the Records Officer. The Chancellor’s Office has provided funding for two positions, a Sustainability Manager and an Energy Manager, that will be housed at CSU East Bay and shared with SSU. These positions are still in the process of being filled and more will be provided as they are filled.
