CSU to host briefing addressing wildfire and smoke impact on California

January 14, 2021

2020 marked California’s most destructive and dangerous wildfire season and left us with many unanswered questions. Tomorrow, Jan. 15 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., the CSU is hosting a legislative and stakeholder briefing to address the wildfire and smoke impact on California. Eight experts from CSU campuses, including SSU assistant professor Lisa Bentley, will share how they are helping mitigate the severity of wildfires and smoke impacts and to strengthen community wildfire resiliency using state-of-the-art fire prediction.

The briefing is free and will be held via zoom. The link to register can be found here.
