AASHE Webinar: Greenspace Town Halls and Make-A-Thon

This event is part of the AASHE Award Winner Webinar Series, featuring a presentation of the Student Sustainability Leadership Award winning project.

This webinar will outline the Greenspace Sustainability Design Make-A-Thon & Town Halls project. A team of students at the University of Central Florida (UCF) (Orlando, Florida) led a partnership between UCF Student Government, the UCF Office of Sustainability Initiatives, and UCF Landscaping and Natural Resources to host a series of events aimed at empowering the campus community to lead the design for a new greenspace on campus. The Greenspace Sustainability Design Town Halls and Make-A-Thon brought together perspectives from stakeholders across the campus and surrounding community to inform the design of the greenspace, and this series serves as an innovative model that can be used to develop a myriad of sustainable spaces and places by and for campus communities.
