2019 Earth Week Schedule of Events

All week long:

  • “Bike to School Week” -- use alternative transportation to get to school and enter to win prizes from the Campus Rec by using the QR codes on bike racks around campus!

Mon. April 22nd:

  • Earth Day Fair in Seawolf Plaza (11am-2pm)  

    • Come to Seawolf Plaza for a fun and educational afternoon with local environmental and social justice oriented non-profits, bike maintenance, performances, prize giveaways, and more!   

Wed. April 24th:

  • Stuff Swap in Mt. McKinley (11am-4pm)

    • Leave something and take something, that’s the motto of JUMP Sustainability’s 2nd annual Stuff Swap. Bring your used clothes, school supplies, books, dishes, appliances, and other useful things that you or your fellow college students would want

  • RHA and Step Up presents The Lorax in Chalk Hill (7pm-9pm)

    • Relax and enjoy with a screening of The Lorax with RHA and Step Up. Snacks provided!

Thur. April 25th:

  • Copeland Creek/ Campus Garden work party and potluck at the Environmental Technology Center (1pm-4pm)

    • All hands on deck for this work party near the Environmental Technology Center. Please bring any food items you can so we can enjoy a big healthy feast at the end of our hard work. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Cullinary Services “Back to the Grind” at Sip, Charlie Browns, and Stomping Grounds (All day)

    • Want to help Cullinary Services reduce food waste and learn about the wonders of composting?

  • Green Jobs Preparation in Career Center, International Hall  (1-3pm)

    • Come learn about some of the green jobs available to students and what to put on your resume to make it more appealing to hirers!

Sat. April 27th:

  • JUMP volunteer day with Daily Act at Windsor Foothills (10am-2pm)

    • Hello Seawolves! Daily Acts is hosting a volunteer event at the Foothills Model Site in Windsor! some mulch for pathways, pruning, and potentially infill planting and irrigation fixe Join us on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 from 10am to 2pm to help with some restoration work and learn valuable skills! We will meet on campus at the flagpoles at 9:15am and carpool to the site. Bring your reusable water bottle to stay hydrated! We will return to campus by 2:30pm. Email Peter Forte with any questions!
